Rodriguez's lawyer, David Cornwell, said Monday that A-Rod would "appeal the discipline and pursue all legal remedies available to Alex," which means that A-Rod would fight to the full extent of the law 〓〓〓 arbitration and then possibly a federal lawsuit, presumably against MLB (ostensibly for an inherently unfair arbitration process), the Yankees (for misdiagnosing his injuries), or even the union (for not fairly representing him). Only problem with that theory is that parties who have agreed to arbitration, as baseball and its players have done through their collectively bargained labor agreement, must exhaust all their remedies through an arbitrator before they can even dream about getting into federal court.
